Generalities

David started his educational journey in both general medicine and electronics simultaneously in Lebanon

From 2009 to 2012, David studied in the faculty of medicine of the Nantes university in France, he obtained an equivalent of his Lebanese medicine diploma, and then he passed the national classification exam allowing him to choose a medical specialty. David obtained at the same time a Professional Master 2 in Electronics from the Nantes university in France.

From 2012 to 2017, David studied Neurosurgery in the faculty of health of the Caen university in France, he was resident in the University Hospital of Caen Normandy.

From 2017 to 2021, David was an Assistant Professor in the Neurosurgical Department of the University Hospital of Caen Normandy.

He did numerous Inter-University Degrees and surgical workshops, mainly during his residentship.

David practices almost all types of neurological surgeries (skull and spine).

Neuro-Oncology

David has an Inter-University Degree in Neuro-Oncology.

Besides his subspecialty in functional surgical Neuro-Oncology, he is highly experienced in the brain awake surgery, practicing regularly this type of surgery since five years ago.

David did his first clinical mobility from 11/2015 to 04/2016, for 6 months, in the Neurosurgical Department of the University Hospital of Angers in France, to be initiated into the brain awake surgery.

Afterwards, he did a clinical and scientific mobility from 09/2019 to 02/2020, for 6 months, in the Neurosurgical Department of the University Hospital of Montpellier in southern France, under the supervision of Professor Duffau, an international reference to this type of surgery.

Neuroradiology

From 2017 to 2022, David practiced functional and multimodal MRI, one half day per week, in the Department of Radiology of the University Hospital of Caen Normandy.

David does high resolution functional MRI for patients with brain tumor in eloquent areas.

Neurosciences

David is a researcher in Neurosciences, mainly in cognitive neuroimaging. He did one of his two PhD theses in the domain of functional MRI. The second one discusses the imaging of gliomas.

David published papers in this field. Other projects and papers are in progress.

David is competent in almost all neuroimaging software applications. He is skilled in Matlab software.

Along with, he supervises many medical theses.
